Womens’ Cross Clinic Draws Crowd
21 women attended the KCOI / Boulevard sponsored inaugural Womens’ Only Cyclocross Clinic on Saturday, September 17th. Many of them were first time racers intrigued by descriptions of cyclocross.
2005 KC Cyclocross Season
The 2005 Cyclocross Season begins in earnest with September Clinics on Wednesday Evenings in Kansas City, Tuesday evenings in Lawrence, and a couple of Saturdays for beginners and women. Racing begins locally on October 9th, but if you can’t wait that long, the midwest series begins in Iowa on October 1st and 2nd.
Tour of Kansas City Highlights
The 2005 Tour of Kansas City lived up to its reputation as one of the top cycling events in the region, pulling top notch racers from several states. Day one finished in a deluge, pitting cyclists against torrential rains as well as one another.
End of August Racing
Saturday, August 27 – Race under the lights in historic downtown Sedalia, Missouri. Then head to Warrensburg for a full day of racing on Sunday, August 28

Grab your cross bike and head to Brown Park (51st at Merriam Lane) on Wednesday Evenings in September. Don’t have a cross bike? A mountain bike will do in a pinch.
