The following weekend (Sept 16-17) launches the ‘official’ cyclocross season at the Sunflowers2Roses weekend. Also the Doin’ Time in Leavenworth Criterium.

Roger Harrison sends this note regarding the upcoming cyclocross season:

"HEY, HEY, it is the time of the season when Cyclo Cross begins!  This year we start with a new cross event, Ride for the Roses!, I wish I could be there but I committed to the Wagga Wagga 5K and 10K races in Leavenworth before I knew that it was a cross race.  Of course the next day is the Doin Time in Leavenworth Criterium, I will be setting up the course, racing(I hope) and DJ’ing the back side of the course so stop by the RED VAN!!!  Meet my co worker Bruce the Goose Edwards father of Sir Drafts a Lot!  I hope all you crossers have fair weather and a great day of racing.  After Curtis’s Time Trial we can get to the best part of the cycling season, CROSS!!!!!  Although it is my favorite it is also the most time consuming for the promoters, remember that those set up guys and gals do it for a nominal fuel fee.  So hang around after the races are over, as you wait for the final results, go pick up a few chinese hats, cones, stakes, etc., so those set up people can get it done before it gets dark.  See you out there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   The Lanterne Rouge.
