On behalf of the Lanterne Rouge Volunteer Group and Racing Team, it was a pleasure to see the participants yesterday at a Three Amigo's event.  Thanks to the my partners, G Man and Chris the complainer for working with me during this race year.  We will cooperate one more time this year at the Kansas State Championships at the Leavenworth High School.
I would like to thank the ridership for racing yesterday and ask for comments on the course, setup, marking, registration, food, etc..  I was especially pleased to finally get Kathyrn to ride a 1,2,3 Women's race and also see a future rider, Sydney Brown, give Kathyrn something to check out in her "rear" view mirror.  Michelle, and Jennifer raced well.  Glenda, and Trudy, Trudy, Trudy were fantastic.
I was disappointed with the turn out because I expected more.  So what was the reason some of you did not make it?
We, the ridership, need to get off are rears and get the kids out.  NOT one junior rider in the women's division.  That is sad stuff.  They are our future.
Cat 4 women, awesome, this group is really special, they raised the numbers and the level of competition.  We were missing two good riders, Theresa with an injured foot, and Stacie who has been busy with a new job.
Chuck, and Mark brought up a good issue, I will offer 35+, 45+, 55+, 65+, and 75+, age groups in my May Time Trial, June Criterium, and Vet Cross.  I promise if you bring a 65+ and or a 75+ women I will let them race for free and pay their one day license fee.  If you bring a 75+ man, the same deal.
Thanks to all my workers, Alex, Anita, Brendan, Carolyn, Charlie, Christopher, Clifford, Chris, Coach, E Man, G Man, Jana, Janie, Joe, Kerri, Margretta, Mary, Randy, and Stacie for being there to help me. In the words of Winston Churchill, "so much owed by so many to so few".

The trailer has suffered an injury so I will not be able to transport equipment in great volume over long distances.  Chris do not have a cow, no pun intended, I will handle the state race.

Congratulations to Julie and Curtis on their impending arrival in March.  Another junior rider in the future. Here is hoping that Bruce, E Man, gets better, he has been suffering from Vertigo.

See ya on the roads, The Lanterne Rouge.
