We’ve receivedword at the newsdesk that the Tige and the good folks promoting this weekend’s Diamond Blackfan Challenge are asking folks to NOT preride the course in Sar-Ko-Par Park. It’s a Park and Recs request that needs to be respected.

Results are up…from the well attended and super-fun KC Cyclocross Cup Race held on Saturday, Oct. 19th.  The venue in Swope park provided a new and, in the view of our reporters, very “Masters’ Worlds Style” course.  Kudos to Team 360 and the EarthRiders on a fantastic event. 

This weekend is the KC Metro’s kickoff ‘cross race: Kansas City Cup Cyclocross. A few hours away the folks in Wichita have two days of cyclocross racing with the River Cyclocross Races in Sims Park. Gustav Larssen  of Saxo  Bank rode 19 miles in 37:00…just 30 seconds behind Dave Zabriskie.  But he had to lock up the rear wheel several times behind a motorbike and weave through vehicular traffic to do so. 

The Tour of Missouris Stage 7 is a few hops away from the metro, but preparations for Sunday’s circuit are in full swing. Saturday’s Aids Bicycle Challenge is expecting a big crowd, guest rider Kelly Benjamin will be on hand; and a party afterwards in the Power and Light.
