Some quick notes from Cyclocross Nationals in Bend. We have reports (some approximates) on area riders finish places: Catherine Walberg 6th in 45-49, Tom Price 4th in 50-54, Shadd Smith 10th in 35-39, Chris Wallace 4th 17-18, Jeff Winkler 11th in 40-49. More KC racers on the course today.

Shadd Smith won the 30+ B Race that was held on the opening day of the USAC National Cyclocross Champs in Bend OR. Tom Price took third place in the 40+ B’s. Local podium favorite, Dean (a.k.a. The final event of the Boss Cross Series for 2009 used the fresh Barry-Platte venue. The course design featured a full variety of ‘cross features, fast pavement, challenging turns, and sand. Results here. Full series points here later today.
