Another good time was had by all. The dry and dusty grass velodrome near Lawrence brought in racers from across Kansas and MO for the 2012 Kansas Track Championship. IF you want to do the Kansas Track State Championship and haven’t completed a Velodrome Safety Clinic, there is one more chance:  Sunday 7/8 at 9a.m. sharp at the track. Directions on the Championship flyer.

Gina Poertner has made a big difference in the last few years; keeping the essential Tuesday Night Worlds and Gardner Time Trials rolling, coaching, bike fitting and officiating. Gina is also helping the Davis Phinney foundation in a very personal way (and you can help too): Every Victory Counts on Tuesday 7/10.

Thursday 7/5 is the last organized Track Practice at the Lawrence Velodrom before the State Championship on Sunday July 8th. You must have attended a Track Safety clinic (any velodrome is good for this) to race the mass start events. The Time Trials (500 and Kilo) are OK to race for all.
