After 100 monday night rides these bikers sure are thirsty. Even though this leisurely stroll is spaced out in one week intervals, it took a keg of Mark Jilka’s brew (turned out a nice Belgian style Bruin) to hydrate the 50 riders on the anniversary ride.

Upcoming events in August: The Tour of Kansas City, two days of the finest racing in our metro. AND the Pro-Velo Sedalia Criterium (one of the localcycling news teams favorites).

Several fine events around the region this weekend: Wicked Witch Road Race, Cider Mill Century and the Missouri State Criterium Championship. The forecast indicates there may be some relief from the current heat wave.

It’s almost ‘cross season again. Mike Berning and crew will once again host  a series of clinics on Wednesdays through September to help you develop the skills needed to be successful at cyclocross.
