Reports on last weekend’s Kansas Criterium and Road Race from veteran riders indicate that the events were professionally managed and one heck of a good time. The only thing lacking were the large fields that have populated other year’s championships. Roger Lomshek and his crew had the mic and the music, clear course markings, host housing and timely results; We’ll be running a poll/survey in the next few days to help promoters understand what (or not) pulls riders to events with a little drive time from the metro.
This weekend features another Kansas Championship event (the Masters/Age Group) Road Race in Olsburg. While it’s a hike from KC, we know that the course has good pavement, low traffic, dedicated promoters and some challenging hills. Are you going?
