“The Sunflower State Games is proud to present the 2015 Kansas State Age Group Road Race Championships! On July 19th racers will tackle challenging courses with the wind, hills, and heat of Shawnee and Douglas Counties in Eastern Kansas vying for State Championships as well as Sunflower State Games medals and merchandise. Category racers don’t despair Sunflower State Games medals and merchandise are up for grabs as well!
This year brings a slight change to the courses. The race will stage and begin at Forbes Field across from the Combat Air Museum. This adds about 2 miles to the previous editions courses. The first 3.5 miles will be neutral to Berryton Rd. A neutral Feed Zone will be provided with bottles for racers. Wheel vehicles for spare wheels also provided. The Sunflower State Games asks that you please not park or use the restrooms at the Combat Air museum, there will be plenty of parking and porta-potties across the street!
