2nd Annual Grand Prix HPT

November 2, 2009. Topeka, KS. Well all you cyclocross junkies it’s time to get your fix at one of the areas’ most anticipated races of the season. The regions’ only “avondcross” (Flemish for evening ‘cross) takes place this Saturday, November 7th starting at 500PM in Topeka. With the onset of daylight savings time all who race will have chance to do so under the lights! The dirt track at Heartland Park Topeka’s racing facility will again serve as the venue for Round #3 of the Series60CX (remember your number!). This year’s iteration will again feature fast dirt straights, two sets of stairs, and plenty of other cyclocross type obstacles to challenge everyone’s skills. New for this year will be more terrain outside the wall, more lights, and a longer parcours. First lap primes will be awarded for all the categories and will feature Boulevard Beer’s Smokestack Series of ales. Additionally, over $1000 in cash and prizes is on offer. Post race refreshments will also be provided by Boulevard so be sure to stick around and watch the furious racing action!
