There’s a short ‘between the seasons’ lull with most of the area cyclocross season finished (there is still at least one event in the works, a combo Fast and Furriest/Brit Style Training cyclocross). Meanwhile, the calendars are starting to fill in:
Kansas Cycling Association. Calendar should be updated very soon. Here’s a listing of primarily road and ‘cross events. The Spring Fling kicks things off (permit is in the works) on February 23rd. The Perry Dam Race, LifeBalance Time Trials and John Brown TT Series, and the Bazaar Road race will all return this Spring.
For the Missouri side, the MOBRA folks will add races here.
Gravel. Definitely the hot discipline. There’s an appeal to roadies, mountain bikers, ‘CX folks and sportives. Here’s a calendar that links to rides in our area as well as around the globe.
Mountain Biking. The United Federation of Dirt has the dates up for the Eastern half of the Series. Western half races should be up soon.
Training and Weekly Rides. The Cycling Kansas City calendar is comprehensive.
