Sunday is the final local cyclocross race of the 2007-2008 season: The Grote Prijs Shawnee. You can expect some nice temperatures to race or watch and some free Boulevard Beer. The event is the last event of the DeStad van Kansas Cyclocross Series. Racing starts at 11:30 a.m.
Area riders are also heading to Mol, Belgium for the UCI Masters World Cyclocross Championships on January 19th. The localcycling.com news team is leading a contingent leaving KC on January 16th and returning on January 23rd. There is still room for a couple of more on this VERY affordable trip.
