This looks like fun: "Take a break from the cold and come watch a great cycling movie at Family Bicycles. Join us as we inaugurate Family Bicycles’ Winter Film Series on Monday, January 19, 2009. Take a break and watch the great Eddie Merckx pound it out in A Sunday In Hell; widely recognized as one of the greatest documentaries of cycling ever produced. The film follows Eddie Merckx as he competes in the Paris-Roubaix race.
Bring yourself and a folding chair. We’ll supply the drinks, snacks & door prizes. The movie starts at 6:30pm at the Shop. Email us at info@familybicycleskc.com to let us know you are coming. Save the dates now for the February 16th & March 23rd screenings.
February 16th come see Klunkerz-A Film About Mountain Biking. “Klunkerz is a thrill ride and a throwback to a simpler time when bored youth went outside and invented fun. Still, one thing remains the same; a good day can still be measured by how much mud you have in your teeth." See how Gary Fisher, Joe Breeze, Tom Ritchey & Mike Sinyard contributed to the creation of mountain bike culture. This movie may not be suitable for children. Swearing and descriptions of drug use occur.
On March 16th we’ll watch The Flying Scotsman based on the incredible true story of amateur cyclist Graeme Obree, who breaks the world one-hour record on a bike he made out of washing machine parts."
