Racing in Providence at the USAC National Cyclocross Championship finished on Sunday with area racers continuing to post good results. In the Women's Elite Championship Catherine Walberg placed 26th, Jen Tilley, 28th and Pam Hinton 43rd. In the nonchampionship showcase Men's Elite race, Steve Tilford placed 9th after a 12th place in Saturday's Elite Championship event. Amazing. In one of several "Killer B" events, area riders Bill Marshall and Troy Krause worked their way through literally a hundred riders to place 7th and 9th respectively.
