The Cow Town Cycling Team and Lantern Rouge Racing Team present the 2006 Kansas State Cyclocross Championships, December 10th, 2006
in Leavenworth, Kansas
"Over $1000.00 in cash and prizes will awarded – see flyer for details. In addition to the normal event prizes, the top 3 Kansas riders will be racing for State Championship medals in 21 classes.
Several changes to the always tough Leavenworth High School course have been made which will make for some great racing. The course will be open for warm-ups at 10:00am. The action starts at 10:30am with the first race of the day.
We have arranged for an indoor warm-up area. The Wheel Cyclery will be offering Cyclo Ops trainers to us inside the school with easy access to the course with a separate exit. . Hot showers will also be available after your event so bring a change of clothes.
Santa Fe Trails Bicycle and Coffee shop will be on hand with their brew to keep us warm and in a Java induced high. The VFW will be on hand keeping us well fed.Many riders will be using this event as a final tune-up for the U.S. Cyclocross Nationals to be held in Providence on December 15 -17 so come out and enjoy some of the best cyclocross action in the Midwest.
