From Bob Burns:
PARIS – BREST – PARIS
Next August (2007) is a Paris-Brest-Paris (PBP) year. This is the “Granddaddy” of all organized rides. It started in 1891 (before the Tour de France) and is only held every four years.
For those who are planning to do PBP next year; for those who don’t have the slightest idea what PBP is, but, are interested in finding out; for those who are sure they aren’t interested but “maybe”; and, for those who don’t even know if they’re interested –
A PBP meeting:
WHEN: Monday, November 13, 2006
TIME: 7 p.m.
WHERE: 75th Street Brewery
WHY: Come hear what PBP is all about. Talk to some folks who have done it. Have a beer! See some pictures, memorabilia. Did I mention have a beer?
Questions: Call Bob Burns (816) 229-6071
P.S. Pass the word, who knows who might like to attend! Those of you who have done PBP please attend and bring pictures and “stuff” that would be of interest. Also, please wear a PBP jersey or T-shirt so folks can identify you to ask questions.
