The last scheduled cyclocross race for the 2009/2010 Kansas City Metro season is this Saturday, January 16th. The appropriately named Epic Holiday Cyclocross is already reaching for ‘epic’ status. An overwhelming amount of snow and ice on the venue forced a reschedule. The crews in charge of white stuff removal have put in some ‘epic’ work to get the course in shape. And with the melt/freeze/melt/drizzle of the next few days, it’s likely riders will find a heavy course on Saturday; all the makings for an epic race. It’s no coincidence that the title sponsors, Epic Bike and Sport signed on for an end of season winter event.

Attention all you Cat 4 Cyclocross racers! There’s still lots to race for this weekend at Epic Holiday Cross. It’s the finale of Series60CX and you are racing for a Karcher 1800 PSI Power Washer!. That’s right 1st place in the series standings in both the Women’s Cat 4 and the Men’s Cat 4 will win one of these beautiful babies.
