First this from the KCCX Folks:
“The team has been busy going for the USGP Series Jersey’s, NACT Races as well as sweeping most of the local races! It’s amazing the start this young and talented team has had thus far! Now that we are in November the end is in sight for some of the riders! Some of the riders goals are to win nationals but, a few riders have bigger goals of competing in the World Championships. JR 17-18 rider Chris Wallace will be heading to Europe in a few weeks to compete in World Cup events and U23 rider Joseph Schmalz is well on his way to qualifying for Euro-Cross Camp. As we prepare them for the challenges on the dirt we ask that the cycling community help support the team to reach their goals! The team will be hosting the 2nd Annual Fundraiser on November 12th, at the Trek Store of Kansas City 6:00 P.M. To 9:00 P.M. We’ll have a few raffle prizes along with some tasty beverages! We hope you can attend and support the team. If you are unable to attend you can still support the team with an online donation. We look forward to seeing in the near future. Thank you for supporting our team and sponsors! See you at the races! “

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Roll Your Own Films to release second Cyclocross Documentary Film.
Roll Your Own Films, a sister company of Gizmo Pictures,
plans to premiere Warriors of Cyclocross at the Lawrence Arts Center in Lawrence, November 14th at 7:30pm. Running time of the film is thirty one minutes.
Warriors of Cyclocross tells the story of four key races at the 2008 USA Cycling Cyclocross National Championships. The film was shot in December of 2008 by filmmaker, Keith Walberg. “I wanted to use multiple cameras and multiple vantage points to show how the each race unfolded. The other photographers and I really moved up and down the hill a lot.” says Walberg.
Warriors is the second Cross Nationals film from Roll Your Own Films. One year ago, ZEROtraction was released, telling the story of the muddy 2007 championships. Warriors tells the story of the Junior Men 17 to 18 years old race and features Kansas City rider, Chris Wallace. The exciting Under 23 Men’s race is also covered in the documentary. The finale of the film is the multi-camera coverage of the Elite Men and Women’s championship races.
Tickets will be available at the door of the arts center for $7.
DVDs of the film will be available for sale at the premiere
event and at the film’s website: www.ZeroTractionFilm.com.
