CX Clinics/UPDATE

It really is THAT TIME OF YEAR. We at Localcycling.com hear the phrase, “I can’t wait for Cyclocross” very very frequently. Well, the wait is over.

Starting on Wednesday Sept 5th, the KCBIKE cyclocross clinics kick things off. If you’ve never raced CX these are essential. IF you’ve raced, you should attend and review those fundamentals.

Saturday Sept. 8th is a return of the Source Endurance Cyclocross Clinic. This year you can get expert instruction from Zach McDonald (follow the link and check out his palmares) and the iconic Steve Tilford. All abilities are welcome, but this clinic will be well worth the money if you’ve got some experience and want to up your game. Host Adam Mills encourages every one to register online asap for a proper head count (mid day meal included).

The second KCBIKE Clinic on Sept. 12th is a Womens Specific event. Experienced instructors will get the attendees up to speed on teqnique and equipment choices. There is one more Wednesday general clinic the following week.

Four Thursdays in September, The Free State Racing Team gives CX instruction at the Joules Cross venue in Lawrence.

The first three Wednesdays in October, the teaching crew from the KCBIKE clinics will head North of the river to Epic Bike and Sport for training sessions (open to all) plus basic instructions and a slightly different theme each night. 6PM Start.

Elite Bicycles (the host of the Boxing Day Cyclocross in December) will be running some Monday Night instructional clinics. UPDATE: 6:30PM START

RACING! The first race (closest to Kansas City) of the 2012 season is 9/14: Buffalo Bill Cyclocross
