Amazing John Funk of Topeka, KS swept all three junior 10-12 road events at the USCF National Championships this weekend. John, who rides for the fine VeloTek program, took home the gold in the Time Trial, Criterium and Road Race. More details at www.usacycling.org

John Funk of Topeka racing for VeloTek earned a national title in the junior men 10-12 category with a time of 16:38.84 over the 9KM course!

Tonight was another round of the traditional 10km time trial at Gardner Airport. This event was started by the KCBC, but administration is now shared by three clubs: KCBC, SKC, and Slimenundgrossen. The puddles and mud in my yard tell me that the trails are likely to be a bit messy tonight.  I guess I’ll ride hills somewhere behind the fast guys…Ladies…grab your road bikes and join me at the Trek store at 6:30!  It’s a great workout.
