With Herman Laird Park in Shawnee under construction, a couple of other opportunites have popped up for midweek training: 6PM mini-clinic and training at Epic Bike and Sport. Short course features sand, grass and a bit of pavement, plus some skills instruction. Or if you need a bit of underground action: Swayze Memorial

Thursday night October 7th is the final NEET MOTO Time Trial for this year the year. Gardner Airport as always. NOTE: First rider off at 6PM! Saturday October 9th is another classic event: The Octoginta Time Trial. Another flat fast course. JUST IN: Click on the attachment for the Official flyer.

October 2nd features the second year of the Livestrong Army’s Tour De Barbecue. Lots of activities around this cool event: ride, food, live music. AND the following week the same folks bring cyclocross to Shawnee Mission Park for the ‘Cross Out Cancer race.  

The recent KCOI/Boulevard Women’s cyclocross clinic at Herman Larid Park suffered with some nasty rainy weather. Wednesday 9/29 offers another chance to get some basic (and advanced) education in ‘cross skills. Join us at Epic Bike and Sport 6PM for fun, practice and refreshments afterwards. Thursday Sept. 30th, join the Northland ride from the airport Embassy Suites at 8:00 am. The ride will head to Dearborn with a Specialized stop at Camden Point for the unveiling of a “Fixit” station.  These courtesy repair stations are the work of Platte County and Epic Bike and Sport . The weekend of October 2nd and 3rd gives us back to back days of Boss Cross Cyclocross. The longest running series in the KC Metro moves to E. H. Young Park in Riverside.
