Contrasting veldrijden from the past weekend. A night time muddy run fest (for most) and a mostly sunny open and hilly De Stad (pics from Roger Harrison). Next race on the calendar is a return Manion’s Cross. Early reports are of a slightly less hill offering.  

Last year’s SupaFast racing on a dry Heartland Race Track was replaced by lots of running in the early races. Sticky clay did it’s thing and stuck to bikes and shoes. Later races had more ‘worn in’ and ridealble lines. Results attached. Leavenworth De Stad next.

Two fresh races on two unique courses kept the ‘crossers occupied in Lawrence over the weekend. Complicated spirals, big grass hills, and a bit of mud were featured. Results and photos from last weekend’s Smithville cyclocross. Wednesday 10/27 offers the last formal evening of the informal Swayze Cross. Also another north of the river clinic at Epic Bike and Sport. Be ready to start at 6PM for both of these events.

Saturday 10/26 Boss Cross returns to Barry-Platte Park. A compact but full feature venue that last year used two long sand run. Expect some Halloween shenningans to be part of the event. Flyer.
