Justin Bowes sent some info on Greg French who was hit by an auto while on a team ride Thursday:
"A small group of SKC'ers were riding out south, doing a nice TT workout. Everything was good until a pickup truck pulled out from a stop sign without looking. Unfortunately Greg French was broadsided and went down hard.
Everyone at the scene, including the medics, knew immediately that Greg had a badly broken femur. An ambulance arrived quickly, cautiously placed him in a neck brace and on a board, and hauled him off to the hospital for tests, assessment, and repair. Miraculously, after several hours with medics, doctors, nurses, painkillers, X-rays, CAT scans, MRIs, and a couple annoying teammates, he was told that he had somehow escaped with no broken bones"
