Even with several conflicting bicycle related events, this morning's Tour of Champions ride was enormous.
Here's The Lanterne Rouge's take on the event: "My hats off to Andy, Pat, the whole gang for organizing this wonderful event. You sure can be proud of what you accomplished. For those of you who missed a wonderful event, 300+ pre registered, and I bet another 350+ registered at the site. What a wonderful job. See you all on the roads or at CX!"
The localcycling news team observed groups of riders from various organizations and teams, all in their distinctive jerseys. Those we can recall (in no particular order): Team X, KCOI/Boulevard, Cycle City, Prairie Village Yacht Club, Free State Racing, Trekbicycleofkc/localcycling.com, Out-Spoke'n, Cowtown, SKC, Sunflower, KCBC Racing, Bicycle Shack, Sante Fe Trails, JCBC, Tri-KC, and Wheatland. We guarnatee there were other area teams represented in this worthy ride. It was good to see Eldon at the start and in Parkville.
