While watching the quite muddy Belgium National Championship this morning, our news staff received with disbelief word that the USAC Cycling Cyclocross National Championships (Sunday races, including Mens and Womens Elite) has been delayed or possibly cancelled.
We’ll link to some national news stories on this: here and here. Obviously this affects local riders who have made the trip to Austin.
Editorial: It would be interesting to see what kind of contractual arrangement USAC had with the event venue. Historically, Kansas City and many championships in the US have featured wet and muddy races.
