Just thought I would give everyone a quick update of how I have been spending my time here in K.C. in preparation for my first early season races. I have been home for a two week training block before heading back out to California for a couple of NRC races and it’s been going pretty well save for the bad weather lately.
I have been getting my new bike dialed in with Jeff Williams at Bike Source and he has been integral in getting everything just right on my new custom jack kane bike. www.kanebikes.com it seems to be coming together nicely and I am getting used to riding campy components after years of racing with shimano.
I have also been spending alot of time at my chiropractor’s office – Dr. Troy Albright – trying to work out some problems from my crash in Autralia. I am feeling good on the bike putting in a solid week of training last week and planning on heading down south for a road race this Saturday. So hopefully I will have some good form for Lemire and Sea Otter. my team (Diet Cheewine) is doing Redlands this weekend and I got a pass to stay close to home and train so I’m happy about that – hopefully they will have a good race.
So, anyway it looks like the weather this coming week should be nice so maybe I’ll see you out on the road.
Cheers, kb
