Join us in the Film Vault as we celebrate Black History Month by joining the Major Taylor Foundation in viewing an African-American bicycling journey through time.
This Saturday,Feb. 11th, at 1:00pm, the Kansas City Public Library Central will show a cycling related film. Originally slated to be a film about the life of Major Taylor, it appears the library was unable to locate that particular film in time and will instead screen "The Bicycle Corps." From Ken Walker, "As we always hold our weekly group ride on Saturday at 11:30 am, (beginning at the Acme Bicycle Co., 412 E. 18th St.) we will meet for that ride then head back for some chili and social before riding over to see the movie. Everyone’s invited!"
