Fat Tire Series Awards

The 2005 Midwest Fat Tire Championship Series Banquet took place on Saturday night down in the Lake of the Ozarks.  Over 150 racers and their families were on hand to celebrate the past years events and award overall champions in 31 mountain bike and duathlon classes.  Chairman Heather Jordan presented the night’s awards as participants enjoyed themselves to a fine dinner and raffle during the presentation.  Winners took home championships jerseys and custom awards.
The Wheel Cyclery’s Thomas Hall was the big winner of the night taking home three titles: 1st Place Expert, 1st Place Elite Male Duathlon, 1st Place Overall points.   The Sportsman of the Year award went to Carl Raner.  The Sportswoman of the Year went to Carolynn Locke.  The final big award of the night went to the Cow Town Cycling Team for winning the Team division.

Class winners include: Sara Sabulsky, Sam Schlotzhauer, Chris Kelley, Chris Hoogeveen, Gary Lowden, Corinne Lenz, Chris Locke, Aaron Elwen, John Oberreider, Greg Daniels, Rick Keezer, Julie Pautler-Hall, Andy Schuette, Mark Studnicki, Barbie Miller, Laura Szemplenski, Justin Mathews, Joe Kraxner, Shawn Beeton, Mike Classen, Ken Giefer, Anthony Aimonette, Emily Pastrovich, Stacy Fields and Shirley Emmert.
