Locals Heading To World Championships

Area racers Teresa Jarzemkoski, Dean Parker and Mark Thomas are off to Belgium to race the UCI Masters World Cyclocross Championships. Jarzemkoski and Parker used last weekend’s GP Shawnee to tune-up before the championships and all three riders put some last minute intensity into their program with a group interval session on Saturday. The weather in the city of Mol, where the race will be held, has been upper 30’s and rainy, but the sandy soil of the venue should be mostly mud free.
Riders from acround the world, but primarily from the low countries will line up on Saturday January 21st for the event. Localcycling.com will carry brief updates (assuming all the wireless connections work) and full results are likely to be posted at cyclocross.info. Here’s a short video from last year’s race.
