Cyclocross Shorts 10/12

This weekend features two rounds of the Series60CX.

Saturday 10/16 the Quinton Qup Qross races on the most famous sledding hill in Topeka.

Sunday 10/17 brings the Boulevard Cup: .

Now in its seventh year, we hold true to our motto “Throw a great party and have a bike race break out.” The event has something for anyone looking for a good reason to enjoy a fall afternoon. A world-cup style course that will test all of the skills needed to succeed at ‘cross.  A family friendly venue with a playground, tennis courts and a wicked skatepark. Great, made-from-scratch food from the kitchen of Teri and Tony Stewart and, of course, beverages from the Boulevard Brewing

After Sunday’s race, you can kick back with an after party at Waxy O’Sheas Irish Pub in Shawnee. 5PM on the patio to rehash the day’s racing. The localcycling news team will be hanging out with some door prizes.

Need some tune-up before these two great events? Wednesday offers up Swayze underground CX in the middle of the metro OR clinic and training North of the river at Epic Bike and Sport (6PM start).  Both venues have a few more weeks of fun.

The Ridley folks (yup, those cool Euro bikes) will be at the 10/20 Epic event. Watch for details on door prizes and an earlier start time.
