It’s tough to race without thes folks:
“An Introductory Official’s Clinic will be held for anyone interested in taking the first step towards becoming a USA Cycling Official on Saturday, April 17, 2010. Clinic will include basic instruction in road, track, cyclocross, and mountain biking officiating, and there will be an open book test at the end of the clinic.
The clinic is free, so you can take the test and then decide if officiating is right for you. A passing score of 70% and $35 (check or credit card) will get you a level C official’s license.
If you have a parent, spouse, or friends who are spending a lot of their time at races with you, let them know about this clinic, too! Officials are paid, including mileage to/from event, and that might help offset your entry fees!
Location: Capital City Bank Conference Room, 740 New Hampshire #100, Lawrence, KS.
Itinerary: Introductory Official’s Clinic from 9 AM to 2 PM. Refresher & review class for all officials at 2 PM.
Instructor: Margretta de Vries, Regional A Official & KCA officials coordinator, margrettadevries@sbcglobal.net
