Nationals Wrap

The 2008 USAC Cyclocross Championship finshed up with another round of gnarly Kansas City weather. All the results are here at the KCCX page. Promoter Bill Marshall again rose to the challenge of managing athletes, sponsors, governing bodies (cycling and city), and venue to produce a world class event.

Photos continue to come in to the news desk: Alex Edwards not only does pretty well on a 'cross bike, but with a camera.

Joe (I want the hole shot) Houston sends these pics. And of course the huge collection by Roger (Lanterne Rouge) Harrison continues to grow.

The final party at O'Dowd's in Zona Rosa last night brought together a tired but elated crowd of those that raced and those that put together the event. A cool who's who of champions, enthusiasts, workers and fans.

The Kansas City scene keeps rolling. Local racing continues with cyclocross on December 28th with Boss Cross 3 (the same folks that designed the Nationals course), 'Cross Off The Old Year on December 31st, Epic Holiday Cyclocross on January 4th, plus The Grote Prijs Shawnee on January 11th. The last 3 events all part of Series60CX.

To finish out the year, area Masters riders will be heading to Mol, Belgium for the World Masters Cyclocross Championship AND just possibly a local 'crosser could make an appearance at the Junior World's in Hoogerheide, NL.
