Cyclocross Nationals are coming up quick and folks are looking to 'tune-up'. With Hawk Cross cancelled this weekend, there is plenty of buzz about potential 'Show and Go' races. We'll post anything that can offically leak. Stay tuned.
The organized Wednesday night training ride for this week is in a similar holding pattern due to weather. The Epic Holiday Cyclocross course is still wet from the weekend, with more rain in the forecast, it won't get a preview this week. But organizers are still looking to find a preride date. Herman Laird is also very wet, and our inside skinny is that the parking area will be heavily used tomorrow night. Under the lights at Leawood Park will be a better option unless it's pouring.
The flyers for 'Cross Off The Old Year, Epic Holiday Cyclocross and The Grote Prijs Shawnee are ready. Just to keep promoters nervous, the USAC folks are keeping 2009 races 'pending' until they come to an agreement with their insurance providers.
