Criterium racing is a staple in our neck of the woods. Here's an upcoming selection:
Ballwin Cycles Dirt Crits start up again on 7/11.
Take a trip to Nevada, MO for the Tour of Nevada on the 13th and 14th.
Next stop on the United Federation of Dirt XC series. June 15th for this unique mixed course at St. Joe Park near Park Hills, MO
Good trails, good food, good times will be theme at Sunday May 19th's United Federation of Dirt's Broemmelsiek Challenge. The trails are in optimum shape, good weather forecast.
Check out the full UFD Schedule here.
We wish we didn't need this, but we do. From the Trailnet page:
"Cyclists and pedestrians will take to roads and paths in silence to honor those who have been killed or injured on public roadways. The motoring public is too often unaware of cyclists and pedestrians and their legal rights. To learn more about the international Ride of Silence visit rideofsilence.org."
Friday, Saturday and Sunday events beginning 5/10. Big time racing with some of the top racers in the United States (NRC Calendar).
Watch the pros for sure, but plenty of categories for amateurs.
Tour De Grove website with all the info.
A cool opportunity to traverse roads like the pros. The Vino Fondo runs a course similar to a stage of the Tour of Missouri, challenging and long for the Mondo Fondo. Three other couse options offer the Fondo experience to riders of all abilities.
You can be as competitive as you want in this chip timed event. Rest stops along the parcourse and a Festival at the finish.
