It's down the road (pun, yes) a bit, but the Tour of Hermann is becoming one of the essential gravel events in the midwest.

Two regional races, Jingle Cross in Iowa and Ruts and Guts in Oklahoma will pull a few racers from the St. Louis area

Across the state, on the KC side, The Fast and Furriest, a second year event that raises funds for local animal shelter the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City.
