Coming up: CYCLOCROSS!

With less than one week to go before the KLM UCI Cyclocross and the combined Kansas and Missouri  Cyclocross State Championships to be held at Wyandotte County Park near the Kansas Speedway, nervous local riders are watching the weather forecast. A possibility of  rain and snow mixtures next week could turn the current fast grass course with wicked runs into a Low Country mud fest.
The wide open venue will be a delight for spectators even if the weather gets heavy. The KLM folks will place a large tent with a view of most of the course to shelter the enthusiastic audience. Of course, with beer provided by the promoters, the spectators should be extra enthusiastic. The circus is in town!

Tony was given a fresh bike, but still started well behind the A field. By the end of the race he'd moved into 5th. .Boss Cross Results.
Jeremy Haynes swan song as promoter of this long running series was blessed with a perfect fall day. Jeremy with super volunteer Roger Harrison and crew made some small modifications to the season opening Lanterne Rouge course to create a fast and flowning event. Boss Cross Results

However, many riders commented that the Greg Rupp designed course was challenging enough with the twists and turns, offcamber sections and hilly runs. Great food and beverage (provided by the KCOI folks and Boulevard Brewery) enabled all to recover after the event.: Results .
