Coming up: Gravel!

This is definitely a festival. Expect costumes and mayhem. But also expect a real good time on some of the best trails in the Midwest...with one gear.

Saturday August 6th in Swope Park for the Race. Events begin on Friday. INFO here.

Light rain in the early morning made the track a little slippery for the first riders in the time trial events. This velodrome is on turf, and while it's 'all weather,' conditions for speed and traction can be greatly affected.

The first Scratch Race (think criterium) saw the track beginning to dry on the straightaways. The second Scratch Race was contested in rainy conditions that left the racers looking like they had just completed a muddy cyclocross event.

As always, the after party rocked. Click the READ MORE for full results. Photos by Roger Harrison here. More photos coming from Maia Ades and Jesse Miguel.

Final RESULTS from Truman Cup and lots of great photos from Jesse Miguel

This weekend, on Sunday 7/31 it's the Kansas Track Championship. This is the 7th consecutive year it's been held on a grass velodrome. There's been a lot of love put into bringing track racing to the area. You can still take the safety clinic on Thursday 7/21 that enables a rider to do the mass start events. The Time Trial events don't require the clinic, but it's advised. Flyer
