Coming up: Gravel!

Cyclocross clinics and practices have been popping up around the metro. Wednesday September 14th is the traditional Localcycling/BLVD beginner clinic at Herman Laird Park 6PM start time. There is also another session at the Joules Cross Course in Lawrence on 9/15.

Racing begins locally with Prologue Cross on September 17th and 18th. This event will be a great tune up for those heading to Jingle Cross the following week.

On October 1st it's Castle 'Cross, another fresh event at a new venue. A special course in Kansas City's Jazz District with some unique features.

Following up on October 2nd will be Spooky Cross in Atchison (Flyer soon).

The final Gardner Time Trial of 2016 is slated for 9/8 IF the rains hold off.

Cyclocross Clinics are popping up. The Localcycling/BLVD Womens CX Clinic had over 20 riders this year.

Wednesday Night 9/14 will be an 'open to all' Beginners clinic at Herman Laird Park in Shawnee.

The Free State Clinic/training on the Joules Cross Course has  two sessions left.

Extremely cooperative weather made for a great day of racing and spectating at the new metro criterium: Kermis on the Parkway.

The event, billed as a Belgian style festival with plenty of food and beer, plus a fast flat course gave area riders an option to St Louis' Gateway Cup.

RESULTS for the Kansas State Time Trial Championships in Hutchinson. Nice flat course, but tough head winds after the turn around.

Time Trial season is winding down, but there are still some on the calendar. Kansas Cycling Association 

The folks in Hutchinson, Kansas stepped up and produced the 2016 State Time Trial. A flat course (but plenty of headwind on the return) and a welcoming crew. We'll have links to results and pics soon.

The Tuesday Foody's Ride is becoming a popular and fast way to bring your fitness up. 

This upcoming weekend it's the Kermis on The Parkway criterium. Belgian style festival with food trucks, activities for the kids and the Gordon-Biersch Beer tent. Register on line for $5 off. Sunday September 4th. A new criterium for the metro. Lots of riders enjoy the fast and flat pavement of Tomahawk Creek Parkway in Leawood. Now you get to race it.

The event will also have plenty of cool things for spectators to do. Food Trucks, Beer tent, kids activities.
