Race flyers and calendar from the ACA here!
The season is here! (For some the cyclocross season never ends). But, if you're new to the sport and want to further hone those skills this is for you:
It's the 50th Anniversary of one of the toughest bike races in America; the Bob Cook Memorial Mt. Evans Hill Climb.
Nearly 28 miles of climbing up the highest paved road in the United States.
The Localcycling staff recently ran into Stuart Baillie who tied or won the first three editions (and again in 1966) at an event in Kansas City. Look for some comments from this early winner if we track him down again.
Beginning March, the Colorado race calender fills out with plenty of events. Time Trials, Road Races and Criteriums throughout the month.
Check out the Bicycle Association of Colorado site for the scoop.
A five state Championship CX at Sandstone Park in Longmont. Tons of categories, lots of medals
While lots of people are getting there spectator on watching the Pro Challenge beginning on 8/18, many other racers are starting to amp up for cyclocross. In fact, beginning Saturday 8/16 it's Inspired CX 101 offering skills and drills for first timers. A great way to get started in our muddiest discipline.
Community Velodrome training is open in the Springs. Four days per week, season pass available.
